As always, it is created with a myriad of mostly hardware instruments, including an 808 drum machine, an antique mandola, guitar over a vintage amplifier, and various electronic devices from the 1980s and 1990s. Conceptually, the album unfolds as a cosmic journey in which passageways of the soul take center stage, focussing on the Indo-European archetype and folkloric theme of bogs, moors and open water as portals.
