Hate Forest - The Curse / The Gates tape

Compilation of two of the earliest Hate Forest demos, both incredible. 

The Curse (2000) sees an early version of the classic HF sound, but here we have a rough recording with real drums, no click track, and very present bass guitar. One of the classic Ukrainian Black Metal Demos.

The Gates (2001) is every wimp's least favorite HF recording. The first half showcases brutal cold ambient: field recordings of bonefires, windstorms and sunken synths pierce deep into the abyss. The second half features the classic HF brutal black metal style, but still here buried beneath icy atmosphere, never to fully emerge.
